The wood grain on the table looked a bit parched in the afternoon sun, and a beam of light seeped through the curtain gap, hitting a translucent arc. This wasn't the kind of clarity that allowed you to see through at a glance, but rather a thickness that had been kneaded in through repeated cooling and polishing. The light penetrated it, like falling into a bottomless well, reflecting several times before emerging.

This is a miniature time capsule, witnessing tides and sunsets in an instant.

Fingers played with the tiny beads, feeling like they were playing with an unformed memory.

The deep brown is the "past" settled beneath the riverbed, with the warmth of wood, so dark it's almost black, yet possessing a mellow warmth after being soaked in life. Then comes that touch of blue-green, the pristine freshness of new beginnings, a shore yet to be reached, so clean it's startling.

However, time is never a one-way line; there are always mottled silver and shattered gold interspersed throughout. These are the mysterious gaps in the timeline, those afternoons and evenings that are hard to remember or make sense of. They sway around the neck, without logic, only a calm order after intertwined flow.

Just as light penetrates memory, illuminating the future.
